495 Visa - Changing States

495 Visa - Changing States
Just a question, not that we are thinking of doing it, but we were talking to some other 495 visa holders last night whether it is possible to change State on a 495 visa to another state that has Reginonal areas? Hope that makes sense. Has anyone got an knowledge of this?

I think it has been done, but not sure if the time you have clocked up will transfer?

Before 1 Sept 2007, 495 holders needed the sponsorship of a State/Territory for permanent residence. Now, the 887 visa does not have that requirement and as far as I am aware, moving from one regional area to another is usually not a problem.
