As long as it is readable I am pretty sure you can use a pen.

Quite a common misunderstanding amongst non-native speakers (I fell for it myself as well initially): "printed" does not necessarily mean "done by a printer(machine)"; it means no 'script' writing/joined letters etc..
Just use CAPITALS and you'll be fine.

I would think "printed" means you can actually write the names in all capital using a pen.

I wouldn't know whether it matters or not, but you can always send them four more photos (with your name on them this time ) and a note saying 'oops', as soon as you've received a file reference no.

the names on the back is to distinguish between the characters
(or so i think).

if it's only you, i guess they'll figure it out.

just don't know how picky they are...

for usa immigration, i know, failing to complete one single tiny
requirement voids the application.
hope this is not the case with aspc...

the forementioned advice sounds pretty sensible, i'd do that.

Kosio,

Thankfully, DIMIA don't toss out an application because of minor mistakes like not writing one's name behind the photograph. Although delays should be expected when one blunders this way.

Some things must be done (like supplying a residential address and signing the application form, for example) while others simply cause delays.
