475 while waiting for 457? is it possible?
Hello,
We are waiting for our employer to become an approved sponsor for a 457 visa, would we be able to apply for a 475 state visa while we wait, or would that just be a waste of time and we are best to wait for their approval?

Actually, I think you'd be better off with the 475, because you can still work for the employer, (provided he is located in the same state that sponsored you for the 475 of course), but you aren't tied down to the single employer. And if you are employed by the employer for 2 years, it seems very simple to go from 475 to PR.
