Have been advised to apply for a Western Australia 475 state sponsored visa due to my age and current employment status. I have also been advised that with this visa I cannot live or work in Metropolitan Perth for 2 years.

I've tried like mad to get a definition of Metropolitan Perth so I know where I can live but to no avail.

Please can someone point me to a map showing the Metropolitan Perth areas or define exectly what is meant by this phrase.

Assuming you are being sponsored by the WA state government, have a look here for the postcodes which are considered to be "regional" WA: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...nal-growth.htm . Any postcode not listed is metropolitan Perth.

It may be useful for you to note that Mandurah and suburbs to the south of Mandurah are considered to be part of regional WA for this visa.

Australia Post has a postcode lookup (www.australiapost.com.au) which may help you when researching whether an area is considered regional.

Thank you - the map is spot on. I have literally spent hours upon hours searching goole for "map metropolitan perth" or "definition metrolitan perth" to no avail.

Then I discovered this website and knew someone would have the answer.
