Default 475 visa sponsor state change

Hi BE members,

I am a PR holder, currently living and working in QLD. I am sponsoring my brother for designated area in QLD to get him 10 points of Designated Area Sponsorship on 475 visa.

I need to check what if I relocate from QLD to VIC (all of VIC state is also designated area), while my brothers application is in process, would this change will affect his visa application?

Thanks.

As far as I'm aware, the sponsor does not need to be in the same state as the Designated Area so it won't matter if you move.

Thanks moneypenny20,

I am copying the folowing line from General Skilled Migration Booklet 6, page 12, 'To apply, you must: be sponsored by an eligible Australian relative living in a ‘Designated Area'. Can you please comment on this, Many thanks.

I can't find anywhere on there that states they have to be in the same designated area so I don't see a problem but it's not my area of knowledge so perhaps wait until someone else who's done the 475 comes along.
