457 visa costs
Hi we are currently in the process of applying for a 457 visa and have been assigned a migration agent to help us. Can anyone tell us how much they have paid for the whole process of the 457 visa

"Assigned a migration agent"? How so?
The cost of making an application of this kind are listed in form 990i at www.immi.gov.au - link is http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/990i.pdf .
The average cost of an agent can be found at http://www.themara.com.au/Online/Default.asp?DeptID=275 .

Re: 457 visa costs
Hi The Rei Family,
We are going on a 457 visa and have had everything done now just waiting on visa approval now. We are a family of 4, being 2 adults and 2 children, our meds altogether with xrays etc and blood test for me with job i will be doing was £415 then visa application was £80, we didnt use an agent as the company i have been sponsored with have people who work with immigration so helped us with our forms and sent them all for us and checked them and it cost us nothing for them to do that. Have you been sponsored and get a job already?

Might be different depending on agents etc, we have not been told about any costs being reimbursed to us and not been charged any costs either.

Unless you plan to take a one-way trip home when your 457 is finished, you should include the costs of a permanent visa in your analysis too.
