Hi,
I came over on a 457 and 1 way flight. It was cheaper and also allows baggage of 40Kg instead of 20kg.

What airline gave you the 40kg baggage allowance on a 457?

We came over on a one way ticket on a student visa so cant see prob with a 457.
We flew Singapore and although we didnt get 40kg on the ticket, we smiled sweetly at the check-in girl when she raised her eyebrows at our 40kg+ cases and said 'we're emigrating'. 'Lucky you!' she replied and sent them through with a 'heavy luggage' label on, no extra charge or anything. Mind you were were first in the queue and had been there for an hour before they opened!
