457 Visa in 14 days!!!
Can't believe it came through so quickly!
Should be leaving in 5 weeks to Melbourne - it has all happened so fast (apart from the 6 months of waiting for the job offer
).
We have also just submitted our 175 application - so fingers crossed.

There was a program on TV last night (Brisbane) talking about how immigration minister Chris Evans is trying to get the backlog of 457 visas cleared - 6000 of them apparently!

6000!!! So they are still having the same backlog issues which was causing a major delay at end of last year!!!! What solution was proposed by the minister for clearing it up?
