There is no need to wait two years to go for ENS. They can apply any time, it will just take a willing employer and a skills assessment.

Hi- just to confirm, the ENS has two streams within it, the first being the Transition stream for a visa holder who has held the 457 visas for 2 years and the Direct Entry stream where a visa holder has not held the 457 visa for 2 years but still wishes to apply for PR under the Employer Sponsored options. Under the Direct Entry stream, the visa holder will have to get a positive skill assessment prior to applying in addition to the sponsorship from the employer.

Ok thanks, if no need to wait for two years, then it will be 186 Direct Entry Stream?
