457 to permenant residency
We have applied for sponsered permenant residency (currently on 457). We have been told that after 1 year our medicals from 457 expire and we need to have new ones ?? If so when do they tell us to have medicals done?
Does anyone know how long the visa process takes?? Our application was submitted in January. Anyone with similar experience?

If you are onshore then meds are done by these folk

You could have submitted your meds with your application. As for timescales it depends which office you sent them to. Here in Perth it took us almost 4 months from submitting a full application with meds and police checks.
Good luck.
