457 IE update?
Just got back from weeks hols in Scotland
Correspondence from Australia House in the post requesting medicals etc for kids, but we sent these before we went away. Seems we're getting close so I'll phone them to see if the info passed in the post.
How's everyone else getting on?

Hiya,
Hope you had a good holiday where abouts where you we live in Perthshire ?
We are still in the waiting mode, and was working good friday and easter monday so off from Thursday this week back down to England for the weekend to see my folks.

Mind if I join in? I'm new here.
I was the one who did the Indiana Jones roll as the 457IE bar was coming down so I guess I'll be the last one to hear anything - but if I do I'll let you know.

Got our visa last week so its all go for us now, you shouldnt be too long if you have already sent in the medicals. Its a great feeling when you have that visa in the passport and you know you are finally on your way.

Would you believe they have asked to see my chest x-ray plates as there is a 'linear scar', whatever that is, on one of my lungs. To cap it all the passports got lost in the post between here and AHC.
Tickled pink at the minute.

Hi all!
Yup, still waiting...........................
Had our xrays done (in advance) last Thurday, then rang the agent - he told us that one of his 457ie had just come through - application date 12/02/03. So we might hear soon.............
Is it me or is the waiting driving everyone else totally up the wall???
Any ideas for saving our sanity gratefully rec'd.

Lets hope they pass the x-rays pretty quick.
I phoned AHC and (eventually) spoke with someone. They were looking round the office for my medicals etc - something to do with a change of case officer! Anyway, she said it was likely that the visas would be issued by the end of the week, but definitely no later that end of next week.
Not long now!

Applied 1st February
Sent medicals & Xrays before being asked (10th March)
Got a request for further evidence of experience also police report on the 6th April
Sent the further evidence but the police report will take approx 40 days so still waiting, dont expect a reply from the police until about 18th May.
Should know something by the end of May I hope
