Dear all,
Having arrived in Oz on a 457 only 4 months ago we are now trying to get PR.
We couldn't do it initially as hubby doesn't have a Certificate III. He is being assessed for one on the job now.
So, firstly can anyone give me an idea how long getting an ENS Visa takes?
Secondly, do you NEED an agent or is it a very complex/easy process?
Thirdly, can anyone recommend an agent that might be cheaper than the one we used for our 457 who is quoting £2000 to work on our behalf?
Thanks everyone.

As a Perth based Migration Agency, ASC Migraiton is a touch closer to the pulse than your UK based agent. As well as doing a cheaper price than two thousand pounds, I never ask for a lump sum up front. I start off with an initial fee of AUD$64 to register with us so we can perform a full evaluation.
Once we have done this, we can assess how much work we will need to do, including outsourced work if necessary and be able to quote you on how much it will all cost and allow you to pay it in installments over three months.
This gives you a little bit more flexibility and it will provide a little bit of clarity before you start forking over big sums of money. Visit my website for more information

Firstly in order to apply for an ENS visa you are required to be sponsored - I presume your current employer is willing to do this?
It sounds like you are on track having your husband’s skills assessed. Once he has his AQF Cert III he will then need to apply to the TRA for a skills assessment.
The sponsoring employer will also need to submit a sponsorship application similar to what they had to do to become a 457 SBS.
The short answer is that this is a reasonably complex process and I would suggest at least getting quotes from a few agents and making a decision from there.
I hope this helps.
Regards
