Hope you're doing great

I have one question. Once the the 189 visa is granted and I have entered into Australia, can I do any job until I find my relevant field job? Does this go against my visa conditions by chance? Or do I have to strictly work in the profession, I have chosen to apply the visa for?

Hi Muhammad,

Once you have your visa, you can do whatever job you choose - it does not need to be the one you nominated for the visa.

Not sure what you mean by applying for indefinite leave, no such thing in Australia, but on a 189 you are allowed to work in any job, or even none at all.

I guess there must be some conditions met when you apply for a Australian nationality or citizenship after being on 189 visa for a certain period. Isn't it?

For citizenship you just need to have met the residency, complied with your visa conditions and have a clean police check.

The 189 visa does not have any work conditions, you can work in any field, not at all or start your own company

By residency I meant time in Australia to qualify for citizenship ie. 4 years. See the citizenship site for detailed information
