189 Granted
Happy to report, my 189 visa was granted yesterday. Must say thanks to these forums, valuable advice over the years has help immensely in understanding the entire process.
- Partner is Secondary School Teacher (Main applicant).
- Applied in December 2012.
- Invite for Medicals in March.
- Found us between medical systems in April.
- Granted April 30th!
We did this alone, no agent -the process was very easy, anyone who is debating whether to use an agent or go alone. As long as you got time and energy I would save the money and go alone.
Now to start planning our move..
- Partner is Secondary School Teacher (Main applicant).
- Applied in December 2012.

- Found us between medical systems in April.
- Granted April 30th!

1.In the process, do we need to declared funds and if so how much?
2. Did you apply onshore or offshore?
3. Did you make an appointment for Medicals as you went application of did after the report from the Case officer.

We applied offshore.
Went for medicals after request from CO.

Thanks - my point score was only 65.
But I guess my age, my o/h is an experienced IT teacher and I have two kids that will contribute to the Tax system in a few years helped!
