Re: 176 visa
Hi Macas,
Any visa application can be done yourself, or with the help of a migration agent. If you take the time to read all requirements carefully, and you have no difficulties in obtaining the required points and evidence to support your visa application, you can do it yourself.
Even with an agent you will still be doing most of the work yourself, if your application is straight forward then you can save a lot of money by doing it yourself. However, if there are complications or difficulties proving your skills then an agent could save you a lot of stress and worry. Most agents offer a free assessment, so you could at least use that to see what your chances are.
Further: the migration process is fully described in booklet 6 at the DIAC website.
And you can find all requirements you need to meet on the visa subclass 176 website.
Read all information carefully. In general the proces is as follows:
- Check if you can meet points test
- Get your skills positively assessed
- Get a state sponsorship
- Sit IELTS test
- Collect all required evidence (use document checklist)
- Apply for VISA and attach all evidence
- Wait for CO to request PPC/Health (especially now with changed order of priorities)
Please read all information on the DIAC website carefully.
Good luck with your application.
