Default is the 175 visa the old 136 visa?

........time has moved on since our visa application. it used to be the 136 visa (skilled visa application). is it now called the 175?

if it is, how long is the going rate (ish ) from date of acknowledgement to pccs/meds being asked for (job application - nurse, so on the MODL list (if that still exists ))

Yes, the new 175 used to be the old 136.

No idea how long they are taking but I do believe the MODL is still there.

I was about to go through the old 136 route when the 175 system came on line. It's quicker, I started the process 16th Sept 2007 and was all done and visa'd up by 4 Apr 08 so about 6 and a bit months all told. I already had my Trade recognition done a year or so before.

The system has changed slightly - you can front load EVERYTHING - PCCs Meds, the lot and I would advise you do that. I am sure that if I had done it this way then the visa would have been completed 3 months earlier.

Hope that helps
