Question 139 Visa - Sponsor and Assurer?

Does your assurer also need to show proof of income even though they are lodging a bond? If so, are they able to act as assurer for more than one family member?

Yes - there are very specific income rules for mandatory assurances of support. Additionally, you cannot have an assurance outstanding over more than two adults at once.

These rules are non-negotiable.

Thanks Jeremy - not what I really wanted to hear - back to the drawing board. My cousin is sponsoring us although she has already acted as sponsor for her parents (my aunt and uncle). Her Husband is their assurer. - Oh dear.
