139 Check List

139 Check List
Hi,
I am in the process of putting togther my application via. 139 and I am
curently reading the check list that comes with the application and have
noticed that I have to supply a reference from my current employer.
Neadless to say this may prove too be difficult because I do not want
to let them know of my intentions.
What I am going to do is to ask a friend I work with to give me the
reference which requires period of employment, and specific duties
undertaken. He is a Principal Process Engineer with the company even
though I do not work directly with him, I do have a lot of daily
contact (work-wise). He is a Chartered Engineer with lots of other
letters after his name so the credentials are there.
JUST WONDERING WHAT YOUR THOUGHTS ARE DOING IT THIS WAY, OR CAN YOU
RECCOMEND ANOTHER WAY.
