$1000 a week wage.....
Hi guys and gals,
How would a single person cope with a $1000 a week wage?
Would it be comfortable or scraping for change, living wise?
Queensland area, maybe NSW?
Thanks.

It is about 4% above the average wage,
The great majority get less than that. Median is around $800.

Re: $1000 a week wage.....
AWOTE for the December quarter, 2003 was $937.70.
AWOTE is the Australian Bureau of Statistics calculation of Average Weekly
Ordinary Time Earnings for all Australians. It varies a little from state to
state. So on $1,000 a week; you're a little over the average. Should be
fine!!

Re: $1000 a week wage.....
Depends on a lot of factors?
What type of Job?
How many hours will you be working?
80+ hours a week will mean a $500 for 40 hours which means its below
avg.
Need more information.
What job and what city are you on about.
