Default On what grounds can you be turned down for PR???

Just wondering on what grounds, apart from medical, you could be refused PR visa. My OH is a carpenter and has a job offer. We have had a few queries on our eldest sons medical, (Osgood Schlatters, which is basically growing pains, his very mild asthma and one presumed anaphylactic episode 3 years ago).
The letter asked for us to submit extra info by 30Jul, or they would make decision based on info they have. We have done all that and are now (im)patiently waiting!
So, if our medicals pass muster, the job checks out, is there anything else we could fail on?

Sorry, I am not sure of the answer, but thought I would just send a message to say 'Hi', as you had no replies yet.

I assume if the medicals are okay, the police checks are okay and the job offer is in order, then everything will go through okay?

We have just submitted our ITA. Hopefully all is okay with it - time will tell.

Good luck

Check out this website

http://www.residencereviewboard.govt.nz/srchres.aspx

It's a bit of a faf to search etc but I found it interesting as it shows you all the appeals that people have made to the residence review board because their PR applications/work visa applications had been turned down.

Seems to me like the main reasons were qualifications not being correct level, job not being classed as skilled enough and english language not up to scratch.

Hope it doesn't make you worry too much! Seems like you have everything in order though and with a job offer you'll probably be sorted. Good Luck
