Hi
I've recently applied for my skilled migrant residency visa, I'm a carpenter moving to Christchurch with my wife and 3 children and have a job secured. Immigration have advised my agent that they will make a decision In 1-3 months. Can anyone tell how long there visa took from this point..? I know it depends on the the info I've provided, but we would like to hear from others who have had the same experience.

didn't use an agent but you can see from my signature our time line, and that was my husband already over in NZ and working on a Temp Work Visa. dislays can cause the process to be extended, medical referrals, not correct documents sent, more documents required. How many days your CO works, ours only worked 4. Time of year. Everything shuts for Christmas and not much work until late January. Ours also took an extra 2 weeks as we had our file transferred to NZ once we had been approved for the visa to be stamped into our passports

It will vary from person to person, depends on how 'simple' your application is to whether your CO is on holiday
