Police Checks in New Zealand
Hi all,
We've just got our ITA and they want a police check for my partner for any countries she's lived in for more than 12 months in the past 10 years.
She spent over 12 months in New Zealand about 6 years ago, I've done some checking and it appears they dont do a police check as such in NZ but we can get a leter stating any convictions etc.. (she's not got any she's telling me about anyway) On the New Zealand immigration website I found a section which basically said Immigration would carry out this check on our behalf, is this the case? has anyone out there had to have a New Zealand Police check?

I have to say I'm tempted just to let them do it, although I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm not sure how switched on they are at immigration, they sent our ITA to the wrong address, what's the point in putting a postal address if they send it somewhere else. Luckily we managed to get it back
