Police checks
I am about to submit our work to residence visa
i have our English police checks ! Do we have to get NZ police checks or do immigration acquire them ?? I’m sure I read somewhere that they get them once application submitted !!

You must provide police certificates for every country you have lived in for at least 12 months duration. That includes NZ if you have been here long enough. Immigration will not do it for you.

as escape says, every country you have lived in for more than 12 months over the last 10 years

I have read on immigration website that there is no need to obtain a Police check from NZ police they do do it for you and the results are sent straight to immigration !! Thanks for replying though 😊

Yes. Found it.
Only for people applying for visitor, student and work visas which allow them to stay for at least 24 months....and it's free!
