We're just about to request our family police certificates in the UK. There is an option to request extra copies.

Can anyone advise whether we will need extra copies and what for?

I needed an extra copy for my new employer (District Health Board) and for my midwifery registration (I think) so depending on your situation it might be worth getting one as well as making a few photocopies when you do get it (my employer would have accepted a photocopy but I didn't find that out until I'd sent an original)

Same here, OH needed an extra original for her AT registration as well as immigration. Way cheaper to get an extra at the time than have to make another request...
