Points for Degrees EOI...
Hi.
I was wondering you get automatic 50 points for having a level 7 bachelor degree regardless on the job level?
Obviously, the jobs are relevant to the degree that I am using in my application, but the jobs are in part A and part B of the skilled employment list, which require different skill level.
What are your thoughts?

Any ideas?
Basically, do they give you the full points for having a level 7 degree regardless?
Or, do they limit the qualification points to the qualification requirements for the skilled job?

if the skills list states you have to have a certain degree then it has to match as outlined on the Immigration site to claim the full points for it. If you have another degree you can claim points but you don't get as many.
example. OH skill was IT he had no degree in IT and it was not a requirement for the ITA but he had an archaeology degree from an approved University so could claim lesser points for that

They should give you the full 50 points but you wouldn't be able to claim bonus points for work experience or a qualification in an area of skills shortage[assuming this counts anyway]-this is likely to be where Mr Fychan couldn't claim the full points total
