We submitted our ITA in October and have just received a letter saying we have been allocated a case officer, they want some more relationship evidence despite the fact I submitted at least 5 pieces of evidence!! Did you have a telephone interview - any tips!!!
Have you got job offers and a date you are going!

Hi Jackie,

we had to submit extra proof of our relationship too!...I sent in loads of photos (with dates on the back) ie. wedding, christening of kids, holiday snaps of us all together. I also sent in an old car insurance certificate with both names on, & a couple of letters to each of us showing the same address...I had already sent in our marriage certificate & a couple of utility bills in both names when we submitted our ITA!

Sorry, I didn't have a phone interview for immigration, so can't help you there!

I have got a job offer at Tauranga Hospital, my OH hasn't...he's going to be a house-husband for a couple of months while we get settled, then he'll start looking...he's a qualified electrician, so shouldn't be too much of a problem!

We only booked the flights a couple of days ago! We're going on 14th Feb...Valentine's Day...how romantic!!

I was quite worried about not having submitted enough relationship evidence but it wasn't questioned. I sent in Mortgage statements from about 8 years ago and a couple in between up to some recent statements, joint bank account, marriage licence and birth certificate of our daughter. No photos as I forgot! My leaving do is on the 14th Feb, I pity any romantics who have booked the same restaurant as me and 20 mates!

I booked it a few weeks ago and have rung back to check the Manager was ok with it, just in case it conveniently got unbooked from the diary!
