No sleep for me!
My application for Residency went in about a month ago now and I had everything crossed for a super quick process. Reason for this is my current visa runs out on the 5th August!
My medical was sent to the MA and I've been advised by my CO today that it has been cleared and he has processed my application and made his recommendation. The whole thing is waiting to be signed off and this should happen tomorrow.
I told him that I was going to post a work visa application as a back up and he's told me to 'hold on to this for now'. I'm hoping this means I won't need it!!

hope you do hear tomorrow,
when our ITA for PR went off for secondary approval we were told 2 weeks and then still had to chase it

i've got a good feeling you will be ok! he's told you to `hold on to this for now' so he clearly thinks all should be ok - he's saying its ok - just got to get his manager's ok - which should just be rubber stamping, and they know that your current visa is expiring.

My WTR visa from my WHV application took about a month or just over to go through.
My friends Work Visa from WHV took a week - because she had already worked for 12 months on her WHV and couldn't continue to work without her new visa.
Sometimes immigration can be quite human!
