Default Immigration changes...

I am aware of the changes to student visas due to my job, but there seems to be more changes regarding work experience.

Changes to the Skilled Migrant Category:

Apparently the changes in the link won't apply to those who already have EOI's in the pool.

I also need clarification about the following new changes in SMC.

Following are the points which are mentioned in Newzealand Skilled Migration Category. I need clarification regarding following points.

1. English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) qualifications will no longer meet the criteria for qualification points.

2. Applicants who are in New Zealand and hold, or have held, Study to Work visas will no longer be eligible for a SMC Job Search Visa.

3. Applicants with qualifications in an area of absolute skill shortage will no longer be able to automatically obtain residence without skilled employment.

4. Settlement and contribution criteria will be weighted towards skilled employment.

5. Partners and/or children of SMC Job Search Visas holders will no longer be automatically eligible for temporary visas related to the holder’s work visa.

Please help.

Thanks in Advance,
Regards,
Irfan.
