Default Filling in EOI - some help please!!

Hi everyone! New to here and hoping you can help.

My husband and I are in the process of completing the EOI (very exciting!) and have a few queries... At the moment I have 140 points, which is great and I'd like to keep it this way, but I'm not sure if I can claim all these points.

1) Firstly, I get extra points for stating over 8 years work experience in an area of long term skills shortage. I have been employed (NHS) for nearly 9 years, but have had the last year as maternity leave. So official work experience I guess would be 7 3/4 years.... I suppose it depends how my employer words their letter. I can't decide if I'm being dishonest with NZIS or not if I put this....

2) I'm claiming points for my sister living in NZ. She is currently towards the end of her required 3 months work to get PR - she will have it in a few weeks. Will that be ok?

3) I could claim points for my husband's qualifications (haven't added these yet) but not sure if I have to go through the NZQA. He has a HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering - but the list of recognised qualifications lists a BTEC HND in Engineering as qualifying for points. His HND doesn't mention BTEC at all......

Thank you for your help, looking forward to being part of this forum as our journey to NZ continues!

Hi at a wild guess id rekon as a nurse ( i assume you are) you will have enough points as it is, as you were on mat leave it dont matter you were still employed by them so 9 years it is, there is also a good chance you can be offered a job via telephone interview which speeds up the application once you have s job.

North or South island ?
