EOI/ ITA
Hi,
We got pulled from the EOI pool on 6th April.
Does anyone know
1) How long before we get our ITA?
2) Should we start medicals and police checks now or wait to receive ITA
3) Can we realistically be in NZ this year or will everything take an age?
Thanks

Re: EOI/ ITA
Congrats on being pulled form the pool.
It's not really possible to give a time frame on any one individual application as it's a case by case basis. Depends on how smoothly the preliminary checks go.
Yes. If you are offered an ITA and your police checks and meds are without hitch, it would certainly be possible for you to arrive in NZ thiis year.
You could start your police checks now I suppose if they don't cost too much.
With the meds , I'd wait for the ITA unless you know there could be a problemo with them i.e. BMI etc. That's just a personal opinion though.

Processing times from the London office:
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/branc...ocessingtimes/
Police checks last 6m once done but medicals only 3m so it depends on how fast NZIS are at getting your ITA out to you.
I applied in 2008 but it took me 5.5m to receive my ITA after I'd been selected-no reason for this at all and a lot longer than NZIS said it would take on their website Just a word of warning to maybe leave the medicals until later [unless you feel there may be a problem as BEVS said] I am assuming you don't have job offers?
Phone round the local Panel doctors to get an idea of price and also what sort of waiting list they have, I knew I could get mine done within a week so it was worth waiting until I got the ITA.
