Do you still need an Aussie visa with a NZ residency visa?

Do you still need an Aussie visa with a NZ residency visa?

I know you can enter NZ with an Aussie residency permit as if you had a Aussie passport - does anyone know if it's a reciprocal arrangement?

NO, permanent residents now have to live 5 years in NZ to obtain NZ citizenship. With all Kiwis running to Australia, there will be more foreigners than Kiwis in NZ soon - the NZ govt. needs them for 5 years before losing the same to Australia.
