Default Brand new resident!

We are now officially NZ Residents (just not permanent).

A big shout out for the automated systems.
We applied for IRD numbers and as new arrivals we just authorised the use of the identity verification done to get our visas. IRD numbers issued online in hours.
Talked to ASB about opening a bank account and they said it could be all done online by authorising them to use the information submitted to IRD.
This is all very sensible and saves submitting the same ID multiple times.

Taken a long time since 2016 (or 1987 if you count our first attempt) but we are finally residents.
