Is this possible? If so, how would I do it?

We're going for our medicals on Tuesday and I'm hoping that my nursing registration comes through this week. I want to use the same medicals and police checks etc and don't know how to go about it.

why do you need both?

it is possible as my husband got a job before we submitted our ITA so took out works visa for a year in Sept 2011 to enable him to start working. We got our PR visa's for him and the rest of the family approved in Feb 2012

I have a job offer for the beginning of September so I believe obtaining a temporary visa is the quickest way, but I want permanent residency and I want use the same medicals.

I did this and for the same reason.

My timeline roughly was:
July 2011 Meds
August Work Visa App, EOI
Sep Work Visa Accepted, ITA received
Oct ITA submitted
Jan Residency offered
Feb Residency Blue stickers granted

Great. We had our medicals this morning and hopefully we'll receive the results by the end of next week
