To Apply or not to Apply for PR? How Long Does it Take?

If the medical is no more than 3 months old when you submit the completed ITA then it will be fine. A covering letter is a good idea.
Condolences on losing your Mum DB. It must have been a terrible shock.

thanks guys
I will defo have the ITA sent within 3 months of the medical
I am dedicating 2 days to sorting it all out before i go back to work
My mum's death was a shock. She was only 53. I'm only 26. Last few weeks have been surreal. All was going well, now things will never be the same
But having PR will at least give me some security and options for the future
