Unhappy am i getting my hopes up for nothing?

hi,
I have just put in my eoi in (I have 125) points, and have noticed patterns that show eois from my criteria are pulled from the pool every two months or so. I was wondering that maybe this fact meant that once I did get granted an ita, that it wouldn't be accepted once I apply. Im a university lecturer, and there aren't so many jobs going about,as school terms have started, but i am still looking for a job.
i have extra points for absolute skill shorteges, and 15 points for work experiance.
I just wanted to ask,how high do you think my chances of being granted a residency visa are? and has all this hassle really been worth it for me?
Thank you

If you get offered to apply for ITA then it is the information on your ITA application that is taken into account as to whether you get offered a visa or not.
from the pool selection I can see that your points where pulled in Oct and before that in May so it is a gamble but as you get 6mths to be in the pool it seems possible. http://formshelp.immigration.govt.nz...ts/eoi2012.htm

if you get a job offer obviously your points score will go up and you can amend EOI once submitted.

Am a bit confused now. You wrote this a little while ago. Not being nosey but which country do you reside in please? This can have an impact on processing times.

Submitting an EOI on 125 points with no job offer is something of a gamble to be honest.

If you do get pulled from the pool , you may well be offered a job search visa , not residency.

I wrote the post I did now for my mother, she is the one applying. she is a British citizen, and me and my brother are too.but me and my brother already have Australian citizenship through our dad(which passed away a few years ago, which is why my mum is applying as a skilled migrant now, because she doesn't have Aussie citizenship .)us having aussie passports have no affect with her chances of getting residency.
i have started to become pesimistic now,as i dont really think she has that much of a chance, and wont move if she gets a job search visa.the reason im so desperate is that I want to get into the education system so I can do last 2 yrs of Hs overy there, and get into an Australian uni with an ATAR as it increases my chances alot more.
anyway, we live in Cyprus. and I don't think that will affect processing time,as my parents have filled out similar forms and such things for other people for years, and my mum will be doing them on her own.
I just wanted to know, that because she has the bonus points for her degree in a growth area, and she also has them for work experience in an absolute skills shortage area.I wanted to know if these two things would help her get granted residency
