Work Offer - Help
Hi,
Can I have a Job offer in Accounting with positive HRDC opinion, note
that I applied for immigration to canada in June 2001 I work in the IT
sector and I have a degree in Accounting so can I have a job offer in
Accounting since the IT sector is hard to find job in it, my
immigration case in saying that I work in IT not Accounting.
Thanks,

Re: Work Offer - Help
While you may have job offer in any skilled occupation it must meet several
criteria. The most important are:
1. Positive Arranged Employment Opinion from HRDC must be obtained
2. Processing officer must determine if you can perform the job.
Note that occupation of accountant is regulated in most jurisdictions in
Canada, thus you cannot work as accountant without proper license and this
fact will most likely lead to negative determination by processing officer.
Add to it the fact that your experience is in IT not accounting and you
should expect that you won't get points for arranged employment with job
offer as accountant, even if offer received positive HRDC approval.
