Work Experience before graduation

Hi,
As far as I know, you should have 1 year experience before you apply for PR in
Canada. I quit University 2 years ago to work full time. I am getting the degree this
summer. Since the work I did full time for more than a year and the deegre are in dhe
same subject, does that count as work experience or should be after graduation? In
other words, can I apply right way or should I apply a year latter?
Any suggestion? Thx.
