Default Withdraw I-94 in this case?

Hi all,

I am on F-1 visa in US and currently waiting for my OPT to arrive (in
a month). At this time, I got my application for Canadian Permanent
Residence approved and I have until October 29, 2002 to land into
Canada.

My question is: If I enter into Canada by road and return in a day or
two (so that my immigrant visa does not get void), will I need to
withdraw my current I-94? Or I do not need to do that I can return on
same I-94 within 30 days?

I have valid F-1 visa until 2004, my I-20 is signed by my school (for
re-entering).

Looking forward for help.

Thanks.

I beleive if you have to withdraw I-94, as after that you will be entering
US as Canadian PR, If you are from a Commonwealth country, you dont require
Visa to got to US from canada

Also, in anycase if u have the I-20 signed, u have no probs getting in. I
have forgotten to surrender I-94 before. also forgot to get I-20 signed
once. But got through.

P.S , dont use abbs like OPT and I-20, many won't get it

Keep the I-94 if you intend to return to the US in the same status. If
you needed an visa to enter the US previously, you will continue to need
it even as a Canadian PR.
