Default Will my application be assessed against the new rules?

Hi,

I am confused because i applied ~(16th June 2002)~
after the new regulations were published ~(14th June 2002)~
but before they came into force - ~(28th June 2002)~

I had attached 550C$ as fees as per the new regulations..
They returned this and asked me to resnd the package with the fees
applicable on 16th June 02, i.e - 500C$

I resent my application, for which i got an acknowledgement dt
21/8/02..

Now, will they assess my application against the new rules or the old
rules?

from what i read from their site,
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/irpa/fa...ml#independent

"Independent and Assisted Relative immigrants who applied after
December 31, 2001 and who have not received a selection decision
before implementation of the new Act on June 28, 2002 will be subject
to the new selection criteria and a pass mark of 75."

Please advise.

What you read is clear - you will be assessed under the new rules with a
pass mark of 75.

Thank you Jim..

A small doubt.. When i applied on 16th June 02, i had not attached
proof of English & French language proficiency.. Coz they were not
explicitly required under the old rules.. But under the new rules they
are required, right? What should i do now? Should i take the IELTS and
TEF and send them now? Or should i wait for the visa office to contact
me?

Your advice will be highly appreciated..
