Hi Jim,
Why does the embassy require 6+ months or more to process a Canadian Immigration application. All they have to do is check out for the documents submitted by the candidate and schedule an interview or waive an interview, issue medicals forms, complete the background check by getting in touch with Interpol or other authorities and issue the LP papers.
I reckon this shouldn't take more than 60 days.
Could you please explain us, since you being a former visa officer would know better.
