Hi everyone My best friend wants to move in with me, she lives in the USA, i of
course, am in Canada. How do we go about this? What is the process? Is it any easier
of she decides to go to school when she comes here? She also has crohn's disease, (is
28 and has no job due to this as well) and i was wondering if this would disqualify
her from being able to stay here? Anything at all anyone can tell me about moving to
canada from the USA would be appreciated very much by her and I. Someone told me its
way easier to get into canada from the usa then from another country... Shannon

If your friend has Crohn's disease and cannot work those factors would make it
difficult for her to qualify for residence. Studying would not make it any easier if
the intent is to remain in Canada permanently. Jim Humphries, Former visa officer

As you have not stated a specific goal, other than possibly studying, I would suggest
that you look at a few URLs, which should give you a better understanding of the
requirements:
http://canadavisa.com/documents/temporary.htm
http://canadavisa.com/documents/faq.htm
http://canadavisa.com/documents/medical.htm
These outline the provisions for temporary and permanent admission to Canada. The
last outlines the policies regarding medical requirements for those seeking long-term
or permanent admission to Canada.
