Default Where to Start

I am living in Canada (Canadian citizen), engaged to an American. He is
retired from the military, age 46 years. We want to live here as I have
young children. He would be coming here alone and would start applying for
work. Where do we start? We have no clue? What is the fastest way of
speeding up the process? Can we marry here before he applies? Can we marry
in the USA and then he apply here? This is an area I/we have NO expertise
in and are totally at a loss on where to start. Thank you for your
assistance. Donna

The first place to start is the Immigration Deparment website: www.cic.gc.ca
