Default Where to send spousal sponsored PR visa?

Hello, I am a canadian citizen living in Canada, and will be sponsoring my
wife (who is from Japan) for a spousal sponsored PR visa, and she will be
applying from abroad. I wanted to confirm that entire package (both sponsor
and applicant) is to be sent to the Missisauga CIC, or are there other
branches it can be sent to?

THanks

Mississauga is correct, as the guidebook instructions provide.

I also wanted to confirm what the procedure is for this application.

I am told that upon receipt of the package, I will be assigned and sent a
file no. for my case? Upon that receipt, CIC mississauga will evaluate only
the sponsorship application side of things and evaluate my eligibility to
sponsor my spouse? Upon approval and/or not, I will be sent a notice
stating that I am eligible to sponsor my spouse. After that, the entire
case/application sheets will be forwarded to the closest CIC closest to my
wife? If she is in Japan, where would the closest embassy be?

Am I correct in the procedures?

    > Your application to sponsor your wife will be evaluated, and then you will receive an approval and a client number. The application will be forwarded to Asia-Pacific (I guessTokyo embassy) and then your wife will receive an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) and a file number. At some point you would be able to use your client number or your wife's file number to access the E-Client online system, where you will learn nothing about the progress of the application.
