What happens next?
Hello and good luck to everyone in a similar predicament. Sorry for asking several dumb questions. We are in the process of a spousal application and cannot work out what is happening but we have been approved for sponsorship....this morning CIC website stated
Spousal sponsorship
We received your application to sponsor ****** ****** on August 11, 2008.
We started processing your application on September 11, 2008.
Permanent Residence
We started processing ***** ***** application on September 24, 2008.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on **** ****application. The office will contact *** **** concerning this decision.
I sent my new police check to Consulate in London on November 17th. Today the website says that both spousal and resident applications 'decision made' ...so is the next step the request for my passport and what do they do with it?. Also when can you actually apply for work, do you have to wait until you receive your PR card? Thanks in advance.

The next step should be the request for the passport. Once landed you can obtain get your SIN number and be available for work. The PR card takes a few weeks as does the SIN card.
