Our medicals were sent from Handsworth on 9.8.06 so we didn't expect to hear anything for a while. We have just got in and found a letter from CIC and we were both shocked and thought cos it had come so quickly after the medicals it was a rejection. We opened it and couldn't believe it................................................ .......Please send your passports and 2 phots for your PR cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All we have to do now is sell the house

Hey Well Done Linda, Great news for you both. It took 2 Wks from sending passports and photo's, for us to receiving Visa's, really hope your house sells, i'll keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the good wishes. We have toured all the local estate agents and apparently our price bracket (£400.000) just aren't moving. It's annoying cos we bought a derelict farm house specificallyto raise more cash to take with us to Canada. We spent 2 years and a good deal of blood, sweat and tears and now we seem to be stuck! Never mind, at least we now know Canada want us, so we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Did you send your passports and photos special delivery or recorded delivery and how did you get your visas?

Do they let they are ready for collection or do they post them back to you?

Hi just asked at post office which was quickest and safest way to send them, they sent them special delivery, guaranteed to arrive by 1pm the following day, cost just over £4. You have to send a self addressed envelope for them to return passports and visa's in, they returned them by registered post via my lovely postman ( Bless him).
