Yes today we got our visas .... passports and Confirmation of Permanent Residence forms came back from CHC five days after sending them off!!

The visas look wonderful and very shiny ....

Stunned by the turnaround time but absolutely ecstatic that this part of the waiting process is over.

Now just to sell the house ......... J

PS - FYI .... we only enclosed an addressed envelope with our passports but CHC sent them back "first class" and "signed for".

We will hopefully hear something soon, our meds were 3 weeks ago, but it took the Birmingham centre over 2 weeks to send them off, so that has delayed us a bit

Bloomin 'eck that was quick!! Glad to hear they are doing a fast turnaround tho' as between work and leisure my hubby and I are each going to be needing our passports every few weeks over the coming months! It's all very tangible now isn't it??!

Congratulations. We are also hoping to go to Calgary. Have you got jobs? any particular area to live? Any kids going too? Have you been to Calgary before? We are hoping to go for a few weeks in the summer (if we can afford it!!!)

No we haven't got jobs Have made quite a few contacts and have a few irons in the fire that I hope will lead to something.

No - our son is 28 and he is not coming with us (he has joint US/UK citizenship so has other options!). So it's just OH and me

We have been to Calgary three times (total nine weeks) and love its location, climate and the general atmosphere of the place.

Congratulations J. We too plan to go to Calgary because we have family there. Unfortunately, although out AOR was only 3 weeks after yours, we are still waiting for our medical requests which is very frustrating.
