Anywhere between 5 months and well over a year is the "usual" time frame.

16 days is too short.
It takes a month or more sometimes.
Depends on the workload at that point.
Have patience and peace of mind - it seems your case has been successfully
completed, it is only a matter of time.

Dear Mr. Miller;

Hi, I have a similar questions regarding the amount of time it "usually" takes after medicals.

I am currently working in Canada with a work permit. I have a CSQ, applied to Buffalo and did the medicals in August 2003. The problem has been the RCMP certificate, it's been 3 months since they entered me into their database (5 months since they received my fingerprints) and it will probably take another few months before Buffalo gets the RCMP results.

I have lived in Turkey, the USA (undergraduate studies) and Canada (graduate studies+working). After Buffalo receives the RCMP results, do you think it will take them another 5 months to a year?

Thanks in advance for your help!
