My wife applied to sponsor me in June 04. The first application was to the Canadian immigration and after I got accepted we had to apply to the Quebec immigration.

26 Aug 04 The application for sponsorship was approved
Sept 04 Medicals exams were received
Nov 10 CSQ was received

When I received the letter from the Canadian embassy in Rome written Aug 04 It was writting about waiting time in french and it was saying:

1. Evaluation for interview of selection:

a) family class (spouse/kids) 3 to 6 months
b) other family members 12 to 18 months
c) refugees 6 months
d) affairs cat/ qualif travellers 24 months

2. medical forms 3 months

3. precedure after the interview 6 to 9 months.

On my CSQ it was written than an interview is not required
Questions:
1) Do they mean that an interview was not required for the CSQ in Quebec or that an interview in Rome is not required ? If they mean an interview in Quebec why did they print it on an issued CSQ ? I reallly don't understand now if they are talking about the same interview.

2) Now that I got the CSQ and they have the medical exams as well, How much longer do I need to wait?

3) I read about a strike on the CIC website. Will the affect the waiting time ?

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you. Being sponsored by my canadian husband but through London. I got my CSQ last week and have been trying to get an idea of a timeline from here on. London haven't even acknowledged my application yet though and I'm not sure what to expect next.

I've read optimistic timelines when PR was received within 2 months of CSQ and I've read about longer waiting times.

I'll keep you posted if I do hear anything though!
