Waiting for application no. from Buffalo? experts pls!
I sent my application in last Nov. I have not received any reply from the
office. I sent a letter April 14. No reply either.
How can I do? Mr. Miller asked me to wait in my last inquiry. Is it
abnormal?
Thank you very much.

Now it is really late as Buffalo is currently creating files for
applications received in March 2003. Something is not right with your case.
Do you have any confirmation that it reached Buffalo in the first place?

I checked it from the website of Canada Post. Its record showed that it was
submitted after one week. But it cannot be verified older than half year.
Could you give me some recommendation? I cannot find their phone number.
Thank you,
James

You probably need to check with your bank from whom you got the pay order or cheque made to see if the cheque has been cashed, I am sure you have the copy of the cheque.
I sent my application back in August of 2002 through fedex to buffalo. I recieved my reciept in December so that is almost 5 months.
Its always safe to send important documents by courier so that you can always check the delivery status online. Though my application recipet was sent in december but on my recipet my application recieved date is August.
You mentioned that you sent it through canada post, do you have a tracking number for that? I would say you probably should check with your bank.

Thank you for your info.
Tracking number of Canada Post is available, but it cannot be verified after
half year. The banker told me that the money order was cashed. Maybe I
should go there again to get a copy of the record.

Yeh you can get a copy of the draft/cheque and then send it to the consulate with your inquiry letter.

James,
You're not the only one waiting for your AOR. We sent in our PR
application to Buffalo mid-December. It got there just before
Christmas and our bank confirmed that our draft was cashed on January
6. Since then, nothing. We faxed them two weeks ago (before we
checked on the bank draft), but still no response.
I'd be grateful if you could post a message when you do receive your
AOR.
