Default Visitor Visa Application after filing for PR

Hello All,

My husband is in Canada and is in the process of filing for my PR
application in family class. He should be filing in a month or so.

I have already done my Medicals.I am living in India, unfortunately,
he had to leave for canada just after marriage, and its been many
months that we havent seen each other.

We are thinking if I could visit him in Canada while my Application is
already sent to the Canadian immigration authorities.

How should we proceed? Will there be any issue getting a visitor's
visa? Do Canadian immigration people give Visitors Visa easily if my
application is under process?

I was wondering if I should apply it NOW, Before my husband sends the
documents over to Case Processing Center, Because then in the visitors
Visa Application, I can mention that no one has applied for my
immigration yet!! BUT then i realised that since I have got my
MEDICALS done, the Consulate in India can find out that something is
in process because they would have received my Medical Copy ????

So, Shall i apply for visitor's Visa after my husband sends over the
documents ??

Please Guide !! I would sincerely appreciate any advice and help.

Thanks,
-mv

It is unlikely that you will get a visa unfortunately. And if you leave out
the fact that you are married on a vv application it will come back to haunt
you later in your immigration process. The best route is for your husband
to get the application in.

You have very less chances of getting a visitor visa and do not lie
even if you apply . It may create problems in your immigration ...

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your opinion. Though it is sad to hear it. I really dont
understand , the reason behind Canadian Visa people not allowing a
Visitors Visa. When they know that , a family wants to settle in
Canada, and they themselves encourage that, then whats the issue in
letting the couples meet? just to see to each other or to visit their
country.....etc..

When a married couple is trying to stay together in Canada, why do
canadian embassy think that they might be faking the marriage,,etc?
My application will be processed in New Delhi India. Whats the
timeline here? I guess the time is pretty long.
What do u suggest? I find the canadian embassy people to be quite
inconsiderable , to make their own canadian people's and their
families life miserable :-(( !!

I really dont know what step to take !! Any way you can guide ? I was
planning to come over for a month only, as I have a job to take care
back in India !!

Thanks a ton for help in advance,
regards,
-mv

Don't blame Canadian immigration authorities - blame those thousands who use
marriage of convenience as their way into Canada every year.

I actually get my wife a vistor visa in Beijing years ago, did not lie about
our status as I am Canadian. We know the chance is very very very slim,
almost impossible, there is a couple ahead of us interview by the same
immigration officer with same situation, did not get the visa. If you are
sincere enough, proof (this is the hard part) to them that you will be back
to India after visit, and you have enough money to do it, then try it. As I
said the chance is very very very slim, but it can be done, so far I have
not know anybodyelse did it by telling the whole ture about the spouse's
status.

good luck
